Hello, and welcome to my website! I am a board-certified psychiatrist with fellowship training in both Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and Psychoanalysis. I see patients in person in Del Mar, California, and see patients online throughout California, Arizona, and Hawaii.

I obtained my education at the Mayo Clinic, Stanford, UCSD, and the University of Arizona. I have 2 years of additional training compared to a regular psychiatrist, (which equals 9 years of additional training compared to an NP)!

I also elected to obtain further education in nutrition, exercise science, and psychoanalysis. I have experience in trauma and nutritional approaches to mental health. I enjoy using pharmacology precisely to minimize and optimize medications if needed. I will also assist parents with getting their child a helpful education plan (IEP/504).

When not working, I spend time on hobbies, and probably have too many of them! I am a writer, artist, kayaker, swimmer, and best-of-the-net nominated poet with over 2 dozen poetry awards. In my personal life, I enjoy time with my family and rescue pets.

I accept a smaller number of patients so I can provide therapy and individualized care. I always ask for my patient’s preferences when we decide on a treatment plan. My greatest joy as a physician is seeing people grow, heal, and succeed!
